soundworks

soundworks are an integral part ov many of sean burns text-art exhibitions and installations - see the artworks section for details ov these.

he is particularly interested in soundmapping and has produced such works both here and  abroad.

he has also released 3 cd’s of work.

north - was an enhanced cd (with visual artwork / film / design by artist andrew hardie) with a mini-album ov text mixed with sampled sounds, forming a soundmap of the a66.

 redvoice - took existing monologues and enhanced them with soundscapes.

most recently he worked with musician gareth mitchell on a cd called speaksong.

his filmworks feature sound as an integral part of them and in the case ov our ordinary map (chekhov) - it works as a soundwork in its own right, having been podcast by ndaf () and exhibited as a soundwork at the following - bethlehem international center (palestine); officya art space szczecin (poland); casoria contemporary art museum naples (italy) museo de arte contemporaneo santa fe (argentina); museum de arte contemporaneo rosario (argentina) - all as part of selfportrait a - show for bethlehem - a show for peace ()
