scratch republic / all cut up. buddle arts centre, wallsend for the mimosa (disability arts) festival from arcadea. 2006

scratch republic and all cut up are re-examinings ov the ‘noise’ we are increasingly bombarded by. culture-jamming techniques as well as a cut & paste / resampling aesthetic remix /mash-up all this into something new; scratched, grainy, credible. i belong to the art brut / outlaw territory of art creating work that is marginal, essentially as an emotional response to political / social acts around us.
scratch republic is predominantly visual cut-ups

while all cut up is text-based.
